Our client, a leading multinational oil refining company in Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit an experienced professional in the following role:
The selected candidate will participate in and comment on marine designs and anchor patterns, including risk studies; optimize the efficiency of vessel utilization; perform regular inspections of vessels, barges and other floating objects in the field; ensure the safe handling of cargo & personnel transfer; ensure that all offshore marine & logistic staff is in compliance with the latest HSE guidelines; implement & monitor company’s marine procedures; supervise activities like helicopter, diving and barge/rig/vessel movements, catering in the field; prepare, follow-up & control supply planning, catering and accommodation facilities; manage the maintenance and stock replenishment program of all marine facilities in the field; ensure safe and hygienic handling of provisions by catering personnel and act as search & rescue co-ordinator. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as master on board oil field support vessels and a minimum of 5 years in off shore marine activities, including rig & barge moves. Sea going master certificate for any tonnage is a MUST.
Work Cycle: 29 days ON and 27 days OFF.
This is an offshore-based position for a period of one year with possible extension.
